The Lafayette Inn & Restaurant is pleased to announce being selected as only one a few (currently 4) establishments in Virginia to be featured by Epitourean.com. Epitourean and their sister company, CookingVacations.com offer “food” related vacations around the world. Guests select among packages that include lodging and various culinary related treats and experiences. The Lafayette Inn & Restaurant’s package will be among the features with Epitoureans partners, Bon Appétit. Epitourean will also be marketing with such targeted publications and networks such as Saveur all designed to drive food focused vacationers to packages such as that of the Lafayette Inn & Restaurant in Greene County, Virginia.
Both Epitourean.com and The Lafayette Inn & Restaurant are excited about their unique package. The Inn prides itself in providing an “approachable” menu but one that is duplicable at home as well. Epitourean guests will spend time in the kitchen, seeing the true in/outs of the business. After hours of private instruction, the guests will serve as “Guest Sous Chef’s” for the dinner service. Our "Guest Sous Chef's" are provided follow-up recipes from the Inn, source guides and other useful suggestions to keep their experience alive for years to follow. Schedule permitting, a private wine tour and tasting follows at nearby Stone Mountain Vineyards. (Call or e-mail about booking YOUR culinary getaway!).
Check out our popular "Chef Tasting" dinner for two. Many weeke! Our kitchen and staff personally assure a wonderful and carefully selected culinary experience, from the first appetizer through the dessert. Alan specially selects the wine pairings for each "Chef Tasting" and provides "commentary" about each offering as well! It’s romantic dining for two, ideal for proposals, anniversaries and special events for two.
Chef Tasting Dinner for Two
- $145 per person. A "bargain" quoted from every couple (and small intimate group) that has experienced this.

- Only one seating per night at 6:00. "Come hungry, come sober!". (Guests that are not Inn guests should make designated driver arrangements)

Inn guests can reserve dinner Sunday-Thursday evenings for a 6:00 seating (Advance reservation required). Regular restaurant hours and full menu apply for weekends.Our "Inn Guest Only" nights have become a very popular offering. This provides a more intimate experience for our Inn guests, where mid-week dining often becomes a semi-private event. Limited, but versatile menu options apply.
