The Lafayette Inn & Restaurant is pleased to announce being selected as only one a few (currently 4) establishments in Virginia to be featured by Epitourean.com. Epitourean and their sister company, CookingVacations.com offer “food” related vacations around the world. Guests select among packages that include lodging and various culinary related treats and experiences. The Lafayette Inn & Restaurant’s package will be among the features with Epitoureans partners, Bon Appétit. Epitourean will also be marketing with such targeted publications and networks such as Saveur all designed to drive food focused vacationers to packages such as that of the Lafayette Inn & Restaurant in Greene County, Virginia.
Both Epitourean.com and The Lafayette Inn & Restaurant are excited about their unique package. The Inn prides itself in providing an “approachable” menu but one that is duplicable at home as well. Epitourean guests will spend time in the kitchen, seeing the true in/outs of the business. After hours of private instruction, the guests will serve as “Guest Sous Chef’s” for the dinner service. Aside from several other culinary treats, the guests will find a package at their home door steps shortly after their visit- their own embroidered Chef Jackets from The Lafayette Inn & Restaurant- Sure to impress their guests at the next home dinner party.
Minor changes are made to the menu from time to time- posted menus represent a general (most common) representation.
Check out our popular "Chef Tasting" dinner for two. Many weekends maintain a waiting list! Our kitchen personally assures a wonderful and carefully selected culinary experience, from the first appetizer through the dessert. Alan specially selects the wine pairings for each "Chef Tasting" and provides "commentary" about each offering as well! It’s romantic dining for two, ideal for proposals, anniversaries and special events for two.
Chef Tasting Dinner for Two
- $125 per person. A "bargain" quoted from every couple (and small intimate group) that has experienced this.
- Special candlelight dinner.
- Wine pairings from our house selections (mostly Virginia vineyards) (*)
- Sample many appetizers, entrées and desserts. (Typically 8-12 courses!)
- Only one seating per night at 6:00. "Come hungry, come sober!". (Guests that are not Inn guests should make designated driver arrangements)
EVERY couple or intimate group that has experienced this has mentioned this among one of their most memorable (positive) dining experiences. Romance begins here; the rest is up to you.

We now have, "Cause Thursdays," to help those who want to help others.
We also provide custom catering. Whether you want to host a business luncheon or a formal dinner, we can help you create a perfect menu for a truly memorable experience.
We feature dining room seating for 40+. Each evening the lights are dimmed, the tables are covered with table cloths and the guests are treated to fine dining, sophisticated deep southern style. Dinner is served Friday and Saturday from 5-8:00pm.
Inn guests can reserve dinner Sunday-Thursday evenings for a 6:00 seating (Advance reservation required). Regular restaurant hours and full menu apply for weekends.Our "Inn Guest Only" nights have become a very popular offering. This provides a more intimate experience for our
